A Memorable Season

"There's a lot to celebrate in this season..."

The Memorial Day weekend marks a changing of the season every year and signals a move into the summer. For our nation, it's a celebration to remember and honor those who died and made sacrifices for our country.

For most people, it's a memorable holiday with family and friends. Memorial Day is often celebrated by trips, vacations, and gatherings to observe the annual holiday. Barbecues and parties are held in keeping with the festivities. Pools in neighborhood associations and clubs are usually open to commemorate the start of the summer and the change of the season.

For many people, there are graduations from universities and colleges. For others, there are ceremonies from high school to preschool students. During this time, there are field trips and parties for students to mark the end of the year and to recall indelible moments.

It’s a changing of the season and memorable celebrations are occurring for many reasons. It can also be a time to recall and observe unforgettable times in your spiritual life.

What fond memories can you recall from the past year with the Lord? Celebrate the changes and embrace the new season. Where did you have to die to yourself and make sacrifices to honor God and others? Mark that as a memorial in your walk with God. What do you need to graduate from to start a new spiritual journey with God? In what ways can you celebrate the growth in your life with others who have been on the field trip of life with you? Looking back on the past year what should you celebrate? God rejoices with you too and honors you in this memorable season.

"There's a lot you can celebrate too..."

Beloved:

I see the growth in you and I celebrate every little victory you have made in this season you have been in. I know how you have died to selfish ambition and how you have embraced the greater life I have for you. Look back and make it a memorial unto Me. Commemorate the changes as a graduation into the new things in life I have for you. I’m so proud of you Beloved and I celebrate you.
