"I struggled to get dressed..."
"I struggled to get dressed..."

Throwing back the covers, I slowly swung my legs to the side of the bed. My lungs heaved with a cough as I swallowed carefully. Razor blades seemed to slice my throat.

Slowly switching on the light, I squinted my eyes as my head pounded in protest.

I wanted to curl back up in bed and sleep the day away, but I wanted answers. I needed to head to the doctor’s appointment to find out what was afflicting my body.

After nearly two weeks of being homebound and isolated from snowstorms, I wondered where I had picked up this infection or virus assaulting my body.

The timing of it was awful as I had appointments every day, from hair to car repairs, bible study, and lunch appointments, to groups like my book club. Everything was cancelled or rescheduled.

“I need help, Lord!” I silently prayed. Just getting dressed was a task, as I longed for energy as well.

"I had a virus that needed to run its course..."
"I had a virus that needed to run its course..."

Making my way to The Batson Clinic and checking in, I noted a brochure on the counter. Picking it up, I leafed through the pages, and I almost laughed aloud. “You offer medical or vitamin and mineral infusions?” I asked. The receptionist smiled and informed me they did indeed, and queried if I needed an immunity infusion after my appointment. I eagerly agreed.

In the past, I belonged to a clinic where I regularly received infusions to aid in my health issues. I had lamented that it had closed. But I also realized this new medical walk-in clinic was an answer to prayer in more than one way.

After tests revealed I had a virus that needed to run its course, they set me up for treatment. The hour-long procedure seemed to boost my energy as my body slowly revived. The next day, I felt remarkably improved as my body began to heal from the virus I was fighting.

Infusions do indeed help the body when it’s run-down, deficient, or just in need of extra support. In the same way, God wants to infuse us with His life, His power, His strength, and His life.

"The infusion revived me..."
"The infusion revived me..."

While I was down in bed for 4 days while sick, I also turned it into an opportunity to be infused in His Word and in prayer. Instead of lamenting all my canceled plans, I embraced the time to rest, heal, and be infused with new strength in His Word.

What about you? Are you run down, weary, and exhausted with life? Let God infuse your heart and spirit. Maybe your body needs a little extra help, too. Be infused with life!

Beloved:

I hear your heart’s cry and prayers. I do not turn a deaf ear to your needs. I will provide for you in every way and infuse you with My strength for the journey. Cry out to Me!

“Now my beloved ones…Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.” (Eph. 6:10 TPT)

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13)

“May you be infused with strength and purity, filled with confidence in the presence of God our Father when our Master Jesus arrives with all his followers.”

(1 Thess. 3:13)
