A life for many lives…
Matthew, my child
My darling son
Why did you
Have to die?
Matthew my son
My beautiful one
I ask the many
Questions why?
But from the first time
That I held you
Until you took
Your final breath.
You were only ours
A short short while
Until you returned
To Heaven’s breast.
Your struggles
And your sorrows
You did not
Fight in vain.
And your life and death
Has left a legacy
With Heavenly Father’s
Love reframed.
For His Son suffered
Death’s harsh blow
To pay love’s
Ransomed price.
And in the end
You also gave yourself
With your life
And body’s sacrifice.
Jesus gave His
Life for many
His sacrifice
Made that day.
And Matthew my son
In your death
You also
Paved the way.
A life for many lives…
