I see glimpses of His glory, the anticipation of spring breaking forth like the promise of resurrection life!
I have been breathless at times, in awe of the beauty of the dogwood trees exploding in a raiment of white. While everything around these trees still seems to slumber in the dead of winter, there are glorious explosions of white flowers peeking through the forest of barren trees. In neighborhoods, dogwoods are on full display in neighbors’ yards as though dressed in gossamer and holy gowns full of light. I stop to gaze in stunned wonder at their bright beauty.
Spring budding forth teases us too with dazzling yellow daffodils. These delicate flowers are the first to push their way through the hardened soil and lift their sunny faces as though in response to the Creator. My heart was encouraged when my friend Mary Lu brought me a bouquet of these vivid treasures from her garden in a beautiful vase. “Something to lift your spirits,” she smiled pressing the artfully arranged bouquet into my surprised hands after I had endured another painful back procedure this week. I inhaled the light floral fragrance smiling back with words of gratitude.
The promise of His love is all around us. Whether we have endured a hard winter season of life or the dullness of a heart that has grown cold in the difficulties of circumstances or harsh trials of a winter season have seemed to strip us bare, there are signs of His promises and goodness everywhere.
He did not abandon us to sorrow and suffering. Rather He conquered sin, death, and the grave. Creation points to that reality in the blooming of trees and flowers bursting forth with His glorious promise.
Lift your eyes to the dogwoods and daffodils: they are displays of His glory!

The promise of spring declares My resurrection life everywhere you look. Have eyes to see My glorious promises made to you through the life of My Son. Creation mirrors My truth and love for you. Lift your eyes and heart My Beloved child and simply believe!
