Suffering Love

"He suffered for you and for me."

Suffering love

Poured out for me,

Suffering love

On Calvary’s tree.

Born God’s Son

But as a man to die,

I did not comprehend

The reason why.

You came to do miracles

To share love and life,

The Holy One

The Father’s sacrifice.

Suffering love

Poured out for me,

Suffering love

On Calvary’s tree.

Betrayed and wounded

By those You loved,

The perfect, spotless

Innocent Dove.

Tried then tortured

By unjust men,

But You would do it

All over again.

Suffering love

Poured out for me,

Suffering love

On Calvary’s tree.

Mocked and crucified

Upon a cross,

For all humanity

And all who are lost.

The perfect Lamb

The Holy sacrifice,

For all my sins

You paid the price.

Suffering love

Poured out for me,

Suffering love

On Calvary’s tree.

Now You are risen

And intercede for me,

While living in Heaven

And eternity.

And You beckon and call

To Your beloved ones,

To find new life

In all You have done.

Suffering love

Poured out for me,

Suffering love

On Calvary’s tree.
